Why does the unpublished channel id have the suffix _2f0d?

Jump to solution

I installed my unpublished channel on my Roku device using the access code in order to preview it prior to publishing and found that the channel id has the suffix _2f0d.

Why is that?

The unpublished channels all have a random suffix so you can have an unpublished version on your devices for testing at the same time as having the published version.

Thank you for your reply.

When my channel will be reviewed by the Review Team, the channel ID from the Dashboard will be used, am I right? This id is hardcoded in my companion iOS app.
