What ID3 standard does Roku support?
We are working on an update to our service for late this year to add in-band metadata to our streams. This will eliminate the need to maintain running clocks and synchronize metadata externally from the media player.
Since the standards don’t completely specify the requirements, our engineering team has a few questions to make sure our implementation is as broadly compatible as possible:
What format(s) would Roku be compatible with?
- ID3 inserted between ADTS packets in a raw ADTS stream?
- ID3 multiplexed with AAC packets using an MPEG2 transport layer?
- Both?

Re: What ID3 standard does Roku support?
Could someone help on this question? I get some information in Roku release notes, I'm not sure if I understand correctly, it seems option 2 "ID3 multiplexed with AAC packets using an MPEG2 transport layer" is supported?
