Re: WMV Audio Not Working

According to the documentation, WMA 9.2 is supported for audio. WMA 10 isn't mentioned.

Re: WMV Audio Not Working

Thanks. I see now that WMA 10 is not supported. I guess I'll just have to convert the WMV files into MP4's using Handbrake. I was trying to save myself a step, hoping that Roku would handle my WMV's without any other conversion.

Re: WMV Audio Not Working

I've discovered that Windows Live Movie Maker will only generate WMV files that use WMA 10 Professional audio, which is not supported by Roku. However, I've been playing around with the free version of another movie editor, VideoPad Video Editor, which also generates WMV files and allows you the option of generating audio in either WMA 9.2 (which is supported by Roku) or WMA 10 Professional format. Now I have a quick, easy, free way of editing my videos and playing them using my Roku.
