Could you confirm if the newer (recently released) models of the DVP are still based on the NXP/Nexperia (now Trident) STB222 platform, running PNX8935 SoC? Or are they based on the newer Apollo/Shiner platforms from Trident?
Do you have any specific plans for a phase-out of the former models, for instance regarding firmware updates? (i.e. newer firmware updates not compatible with former models)
We are analyzing a business possibility regarding the purchase of refurbished units and we would like to evaluate if we could be facing incompatibilities in the near future.
We appreciate your feedback and possible advice.
