Re: Telnet not working and need to encript content for chann

Thanks JT, I did use the port designation when attempting to connect to the roku box like this: "telnet 192.168.1.2 8080". The roku 2 (the little square) box does respond to a ping, but not a telnet request.

If you type the box's address (192.168.1.2) in a browser window on a PC on that network, what do you see?

Re: Telnet not working and need to encript content for chann

telnet is working fine. I transposed the 8 and 6 in 192.168... on my initial telnet request. then changing the port from 8080 or 8085 didn't make a difference of course. All is good. I pray that I have not used us too much of your since of humor for today!
