would anyone know where i can find a base of RokuOS? i have a DT166 with an AMD GeodeLX800 and id like to install a custom RokuOS on it.

uh, you can't. Roku is a closed OS.

Actually, it includes many free and open-source components:

But destruk is right: the entire system is not 'open' in the sense that it would be easy to build a complete RokuOS yourself. I haven't looked into it deeply, but my understanding is that the core parts of what makes the system a 'Roku'(the Roku look and feel, apis, brightscript interpreter, etc., possibly even hardware drivers) are not available as open code or compiled binaries.

Where did you read that it was open source? It uses a fair bit of open source software, but the OS itself is proprietary and not open source. The link provided above includes all of the relevant open source code for those pieces that fall under the open source license(s).
