Roku Server Protocol (RSP) on current Roku streaming players

I originally posted this in "Roku Streaming Player ‹ Roku Streaming Player General Discussion" and it was suggested I try asking here...

Roku Server Protocol (RSP) on current Roku streaming players

Do the current generation of Roku set-top devices even support this?

I ask because I have a NAS device which runs Firefly Media Server. I know the DAAP support from it won't work with Rokus, but I don't see why Roku's OWN standard, RSP shouldn't. Firefly serves that by default.

But I see nowhere, no channel you can add in, which seems to see RSP served content.

What's the deal? They DEVELOPED this damn standard. Am I just missing how to do it?

Sorry, RSP is just Soundbridge. No support for it on the Roku Streaming Player.

Re: Roku Server Protocol (RSP) on current Roku streaming pla

Out of curiosity, why is a daap client for the new roku box out of the question? I have seen daap linux clients, which makes me think that there wouldn't be a problem using the protocol...maybe I am wrong of course. I would love to get my Roku XD to play nice with my mt-daapd music share.
