Roku 2 XS stops responding on port 8080!

Hi.

I am using port 8080 on the Roku devices to integrate the Roku box with my smart home system. It works well for a long period of time, and then all of a sudden it will stop responding to connection requests on port 8080 completely.

A port scan on the device, at this point, indicates that all ports are filtered, and that no ports are open. A reboot of the device does not fix the issue, a reset however, does. At which point, I have to enter everything back into the device.

This is absolutely maddening, and unacceptable.

I'd encourage you to look into using the ECP interface instead (http://sdkdocs.roku.com/display/sdkdoc/ ... trol+Guide). Controlling the device via port 8080 has been deprecated for quite some time. I know that doesn't directly help you with your issue, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
