Request - Add Device state info in External Control API

Hi,

I am working on integrating Roku devices with my home automation app and would find it really useful to know the mute state and the playing state of the roku.

Would you please consider adding something like the below to be returned from /query/device-info

<is-muted>false</is-muted>
<is-playing>true</is-playing>

also an <is-paused> would be nice so that you could distinguish between being in a video paused state vrs being in a home menu

Thank you

Re: Request - Add Device state info in External Control API

I agree this would be helpful. I could use this as well for my plugin for my home automation software.

However, none of my requests on this forum for the ECP have been acknowledged. I sincerely wish you good luck on this.

I'm just bumping this.

Another great addition is for Roku Tvs to include the current Volume Level.

Re: Request - Add Device state info in External Control API

hopeful bump.

The TV shows the current volume in the UI, regardless of it being through TV speakers or HDMI/CEC.  I would love to be able to set or read the current volume as well as know if it's using the TV speakers or HDMI.  It seems like all of the information required to present this is already there, just waiting to be exposed!
