Noob in need of some handholding!

I'm so lost!

All I'd like to do is create a channel that links to either an RSS feed or directly to a media file (mp4 or avi). I read through the dev guide, but I'm still confused.

Can anybody post sample code for a private channel that has, say, three categories (e.g., Provider A, Provider B, Provider C). When you select the specific provider, you get a list of all the new media files in the RSS feed from that provider.

Doesn't seem like it should be too hard, but I'm completely lost.

Hope someone has the patience to help me. I went to the new developer's blog, but it doesn't have such basic examples.

Best Regards,
-- Alessandro.

First of all, AVI is not supported. Second, have you looked at the examples in the SDK? There should be something there that will help get you started.
