New Telnet Functions

Are telnet functions going to be added from the buttons from the new remote?

Re: New Telnet Functions

It looks like they're already there in 2.7. The following work:

press back
press replay
press info

"press info" when a channel is selected is pretty sweet!

Re: New Telnet Functions

Seems "press back" was already there and is associated with the "rewind" button on the remote. Not sure what the new "Back" button would be.

EDIT: Bah! Scratch "press replay" too. It looks like the telnet interface just looks at the first letter of the key you enter, so "press right", "press replay", and "press r" all send a "right" keypress.

Re: New Telnet Functions

For now, two of the new buttons have single letter names:

press info
press y
press k

These are "info", "replay" and "back" respectively.

Re: New Telnet Functions

From a coding perspective: info = 10, replay = 7, and back doesn't send a key press event, but does produce some very unfortunate behavior. I'll post about that in a separate thread.

Do these commands work with the older rokus too? And is that asterisk looking button on the remote the info button?

I'm using them on an HD-XR, so they definitely work on the older Rokus.

I think the back button is just for rewinding while watching a video, isnt it?
