Keyboard focus

the doc at https://sdkdocs.roku.com/display/sdkdoc/Keyboard says that the property "focusedKeyColor" , "Specifies the color of the key labels and icons when the Keyboard node has the focus", but i can't get it to have color white

m.keyboard.focusedKeyColor = "#FFFFFF"


But it just looks dark grey 

What gives?

I believe for RGBA you need 8 characters.  What is the default focus color if you don't define it?  Looks like it should be white by default (0xffffffff) according to the doc, (notice 8 'f's)
