Is there a API to control sound volume?
I know there is no button on the roku remote to adjust the sound volume, but is there a api for that to do it programmatically?
If not, I am curious why it is not possible.
Thanks.

No. And there is not need for it - DVD/BD players, cable boxes and such in general also don't have volume control; the volume control on the "universal" remote some come with is a "punch-through" to the TV/amplifier box you have to program

Re: Is there a API to control sound volume?
I know this probably isn't what you're asking - but you can set a volume for the roAudioResource from 0-100.
As for volume of video or mp3 files, there isn't a way currently to do that without re-encoding the source file.
