Roku Developer Program

We've got an Optibase IPTV encoder system here that we use with Amino set top boxes as well as with VLC player on the desktop. The system uses H264 streams via multicast. I was wondering if the Roku streaming player can tune in and play these streams as well. Are these codecs supported? Can it join the multicast stream?
Anyone have any experience with multicast IPTV streaming to Roku they would like to share?
Here is the codec information that VLC player reports when it plays the stream:

The encodings are compatible, but unfortunately the protocol is not. The roku requires that the streams are accessed via http. udp is not compatible with the Roku.

you may be able to use avcstreamer to make it a roku capable stream.

If it can accept http multicast streams, how would one configure it on the Roku3 to do so? Thanks!

So I tried to play this type of IPTV channels with Plex on the Roku 3, but it's never working! It does work on my computer through Plex, but not on the Roku!
How can I play this on Roku??

Kevin probably meant HTTP Live Streaming protocol, not just "HTTP", unless you are playing on-demand prerecorded content using progressive mp4. For live streaming, you need HLS.
