Glad you're on your way to get it sorted out!

Re: IP Camera Viewer v4.0 with RTSP/ONVIF support released

A couple of things to note for anyone using the Pi for their cameras. It appears that you can only transcode one stream at a time. Viewing a camera on another Roku TV kicks the first Roku TV out. Also, it appears your Roku TV has to have equal or higher resolution than the stream. You can't watch a 4k stream on 720p TV. It otherwise appears to work well as long as you understand the capabilities. The load on the Pi is extremely minimal.

Re: IP Camera Viewer v4.0 with RTSP/ONVIF support released

Using VLC I was able to convert my NVR's feeds from RTSP to MJPEG over HTTP so they could be viewed in IP Camera Viewer.

https://github.com/EnsignRutherford/VLC-Camera-Streams

After installing VLC use these files and modify them appropriately for your RTSP feeds and then point IP Camera Viewer to the new URLS.

Note you should run this on an always-on Windows machine.

This will create one feed that contains all four screens as a mosaic and four individual feeds that you can use.

Nice work!

I also discovered Blue Iris will do the same thing.

Can you detail what you did? I have the Argus 2E cameras. Thanks!

Look at what I posted in this thread on 05-11-2024 at 03:59 AM.

Read a few posts before and after as well. The key is to follow the instructions at the link I posted very carefully.

Oh you have to go through the RPi option. IP Cam Viewer won't work directly?

Re: IP Camera Viewer v4.0 with RTSP/ONVIF support released

It will for most cameras, but not for all.

I have 4 Reolink cameras. The models I have need the RPi to be able to see them on my Roku.

Re: IP Camera Viewer v4.0 with RTSP/ONVIF support released

I ended up switching to AgentDVR in order to provide the camera streams.  VLC isn't stable enough.  I had to restart VLC every four hours as its feeds would go black.  AgentDVR running on Ubuntu Linux on a RaspberryPi 5 has been solid since I installed it.

Re: IP Camera Viewer v4.0 with RTSP/ONVIF support released

It's so funny this thread was resurrected today of all days - crazy coincidence for me.

I just picked up a new Nvidia Shield Pro and moved my Plex server to it from the RPi I have been using for a few years. Did that today, so I'm repurposing that RPi and installing the rokuphp on a different RPi.

I may give AgentDVR a look! Thanks.

Crazy your post hit my inbox at this moment lol.
