How to recording live stream in one hour intervals?

Hi,

I would like to make a Roku channel (for myself ,not for public) that records (DVR) live streams every one hour for 24 hours and over writes the oldest hour recording with the newest hour?

I found a sample that I can use for streaming only.

I would appreciate any help.
