Banner Ads - XML Schema

Is there any "standard" XML schema used by ads networks which can be used for roku banner ads (similar with VAST for videos)?
Maybe a xml which include also a tracking code for the banners.
I have in mind 2 options:
- a tracking code used to count how many times the banner is displayed
- a tracking code used to count how many times a video (to which banner is pointing) is opened

Any ideas or suggestions?!

Re: Banner Ads - XML Schema

You can do this with VAST. Banners and other images are often defined as "companion ads", but that may vary depending on the ad provider.

Thanks, this sound like a possible good solution.

Re: Banner Ads - XML Schema

Could you host the banners on your webserver by having dynamic server-side code (i.e. asp or php) generate a page with the type of jpeg. Then you just view your server logs for statistical analysis. That would be more for self-hosted ads, but you could also probably do it dynamically with ad networks so that you call your server's dynamic page, which generates the call to the ad service.
