BIF files on USB drives
BIF files work fine over http but fail if the address targets the USB drive.
This has been reported numerous times. A YEAR ago someone said it would be fixed in a future release.
Has this been dropped and we should just forget about it ?
How hard can this be to fix ? Instead of a HTTP get, it's a direct read from the drive.

Bif files appear not to function if loaded from the USB drive.
This is correct. It's more of an oversight than intentional. We should correct it in a future release.

Re: BIF files on USB drives
A fix has been checked in for a future firmware release later this year, probably not going to be in the next firmware update.

Re: BIF files on USB drives
Reopening this post because apparently it is not working with RSG Video Node, but it still works with the deprecated VideoPlayer on the latest 9.0 firmware.
I uploaded a bif file to a website and hardcoded the url to check if it would work, and it did so I can confirm that the issue is with the USB url starting with "ext1:/"

Re: BIF files on USB drives
Tested copying the file to both "tmp:/" and "cachefs:/" and neither worked as well, apparently it only works with remote (http) files.
