APK installation issues

I have activated the developer mode and I am trying to install an apk, but I am getting an error: "Install Failure: No manifest. Invalid package"

I am not touching the APK before installation and I have also tried several different APKs, but I am getting the same error everytime.

Please help out.

.apk is Android package format.
Roku is not Android.
