I have been using the Voice Remote with Express 4K+ and old Samsung TV for years.
Replaced the Samsung with a new TCL Android TV. Now, the remote can not find an operable code after 7 tries.
I hope there is not a Roku v Google fight going on here.
@SRQ-Marc Try using codes for an Insignia TV. Many TCL TVs use same remote codes as Insignia.
Also try the LG and RCA tv codes.
Thanks. Tried Insignia, LG, RCA and Roku specific versions of each. Still no luck.
All I really need is power as the Riki remote is paired to a Zvox soundbar.
A Roku remote cannot be programmed for two different devices at once, its either TV or Audio device, not both. You can program it for Tv via IR, then TV controls Audio device via CEC. If it was programmed for Audio device to be controlled via IR, then the TV is out.
Not sure how, but it was programmed for the old Samsung TV and the Zvox soundbar, as well as controlling the Roku streamer.
It was programmed for the Samsung tv, probably via IR, then the Samsung tv controlled the Zvox soundbar via hdmi-cec. So, without the Samsung in place, the Roku remote still controls your Zvox soundbar?
