Roku sells two Voice Remote models. They are compatible with all Roku's released since, I think, 2017 -- Roku TVs, Streaming Sticks, other streaming models.
Voice Remote $20: https://www.roku.com/products/accessories/roku-voice-remote
Voice Remote Pro $30: https://www.roku.com/products/accessories/roku-voice-remote-pro
Both communicate by direct WiFi connection to the Roku, not going through your local WiFi network.
Both models include tv power, volume, and mute controls.
They can be found at many retailers in addition to directly from Roku.

Re: Streaming Stick 4K remote
When searching for voice remote for the 4k streaming stick, the ones I find don't have volume control.
I know the needed remote is not infrared.
What technology does it use?
Can any other brand/s of universal remote be used to replace the Roku 4k streaming stick remote?
Thanks!

Wireless Streaming Stick Remote
Here is the no cost solution, that replaced wireless Roku remotes. Do you have an old smart phone you are not using? Download Roku App (Google Play), make sure it is the free app from Roku. Turn that old smart phone into a Roku streaming stick remote.

Re: Wireless Streaming Stick Remote
@Waffle1, good suggestion, but it only works if the stick is already connected to your network.
