I lost my fire stick remote. I haven’t used my fire stick on this wifi yet so I can’t use one of the apps to control it until phone and fire stick are connected to the same wifi. Can I use my Onn. Roku TV remote to control my fire stick?
Sorry, but no. Fire Sticks only respond to Bluetooth fire remotes, and no current Roku uses Bluetooth remotes. If you have to purchase one, I really suggest getting the Fire Remote Pro. Great remote. Its on sale now:

I have found that my Amazon fire stick is miserable at controlling even my Amazon fire tv. Particularly when I'm watching DirecTV streaming. It is pathetically slow and virtually unusable. It's frustrating that I'm unable to have my Roku remote, which I use for streaming directv, shut off my Amazon tv. I will certainly never buy another one
