Can you clarify a little about the usage and the problem?

Does the remote navigate the menu system without issue? Can you go all through the menu system without having a problem?

Does it only happen when playing video? Can you otherwise navigate within apps without issue? Hulu? Netflix? Amazon Prime Video? Pluto TV? Roku Channel? All the menus within the apps?

While it sounds like it's the remote, these answers may lead to another path, so if you want to try to resolve before attempting to return, let us know and we'll see where it leads.

I turn it on and can do anything with the remote. Menus, apps, everything. While I'm watching a show I try to pause or at then u don't want to start tge next show. The only thing the remote can do is change volume. No other button works. I have to go reboot the stick and when it is all loaded the remote works and the same problem continues

Just to be clear, this happens on multiple apps? If so, name three. Sorry, but I'm just wanting to not overlook anything.
