I have an old Roku XR I am trying to use because the TV is old and doesn't have an HDMI port.

I don't have the remote that came with it though. I have 2 other remotes for Roku streaming sticks.

Can they work with it?

No, that old of a Roku doesn't use wifi remotes, only IR remotes. So, get yourself a cheap universal remote from target, walmart, or the dollar store with Roku code. Like this:
