I have read so many threads here and on Reddit and I feel like I’ve tried every possible code to connect this to my TV. My other Roku remote crapped out after 5 months on the arrow buttons so I upgraded to the Voice Remote Pro. How is the connection to TV worse than older remotes? I get that my Vizio is older (2017) I think, but how is it the Vizio only has like 10 TV codes to run through on this remote and Samsung, Sony, Goldstar, LG, Zenith, RCA, Philips, Magnavox, Emerson, Hisense and every off brand name I recognized and tried all had about 40 codes each and none of these 100s of codes I tried can connect the remote to my TV. Software is upgraded, hard reset, everything I’ve tried and nothing works so that I can turn off TV and control volume with the Roku remote. Wasting too much money on these remotes for this amount of frustration.
Like many my LG tvs updated their software and now the Roku controller only controls Roku, not the TV. I have to use the LG remote to get to the HDMI connection and only then does Roku turn on. I have tried every solution offered here and by LG and nothing has changed. I am left with the conclusion that these systems are no longer compatible and that LG does not want you to use Roku but rather it's own apps. I'm sure the the TV companies are sure to follow suit.
