Pairing a voice remote to a roku TV without being connected to the internet

The original remote to my Hitachi Roku TV got snapped in half by my darling niece. I have a Roku voice remote to a stick that I'm not using. How can I pair this remote when I have no way to get to the settings menu without a remote to the TV? I also can't connect the TV to the hotspot without a remote, so I can't use the app on my phone either.

To pair your Remote to your RokuTV, turn the TV on (using the manual power button on TV - look around the underside, the back, etc), and then take off the battery cover to the remote.  Should hopefully be a pairing button there.  Press and hold until it flashes.

Give it a few seconds to pair and see if it responds.  On my Insignia, when I pair my voice remote to it occasionally, I do not get the spinning circle that says "pairing" like the instructions indicate.  I just kind of press buttons and if it doesn't work, I press the pairing button again.

Here is the Roku support article on the actual process of pairing.

Normally people yell at us here "Don't you think I checked the batteries?!!"

Glad that's all it was for you.  đź‘Ť
