@Monicamarie, sorry, you need a physical remote. The app won't work until the Roku device is connected to your network and the only way to accomplish that is with a physical remote. You can find cheap universal remotes that support Roku devices at many stores (assuming you don't have a stick that plugs directly into the TV without the need for an HDMI cable) or genuine Roku remotes. If you have a Roku stick, you must get a Roku voice remote.
