Brand new roku, button stuck.

I bought 2 new Roku streaming sticks. Got one hooked up last night and realized very soon that I had to take out the batteries and install them again just to get the remote to work, every time I wanted to use the remote. It would only work a few times before it would quit again. I messed with it for hours before realizing the Apple TV button is stuck. Could you please either tell me how to fix it or send me a new remote? Thank you.
