Both of my Roku Remotes Started Pinging by Themselves

I have a Roku Ultra in my bedroom, and I was watching YouTube and hit a button on my remote, I don’t remember which one, and both of my remotes that are connected to this Roku Began pinging. I have never had this happen before, because in order to find the remote using this feature, you need to push a button on the side of the Roku box itself, unless I’m missing something.  I am home alone.

Is this a bug, could I be hacked, or did I hit a series of buttons that act as a shortcut? If that’s the case, it seems a little backwards if you ask me.

@catmaru-

Could the button you hit on the remote have been a button on the Roku remote app on a phone or tablet?

At the bottom of the app's home screen, hit Devices.

On the resulting screen, in the section for your Ultra, hit the three dots on the right.

One of the options there for an Ultra is Ping remote.
