Automatically skipping shows when using remote after 1-click

Jump to solution

When I am on any steaming channel and press the remote to select a show or move to another show, the cursor moves multiple shows and won't allow me to move just once to the next show. This oddity started within the last week. Is it a software issue (I tried software update but that didn't fix it) or do I reset my remote or is there another solution? All advice is appreciated!

I found the solution from another thread and it worked for me!!

Hi Community Users!

Thanks for raising your remote issues with us! No worries, we're here to find you the best resolution for this.

Have you tried to perform a system reboot on your Roku streaming devices/TVs? If not, we highly suggest so as many users have testified that this process worked for them. You can do it by navigating to your Home screen. Scroll and select Settings > System > Power (if this option is unavailable, proceed to the next step) > System restart

Let us know if this works for you and we'll go from there.

Thanks,
Carly

This is happening to me as well. By using another Roku remote I’ve been able to establish that the remote is not the source of the problem — it happens with both remotes, so the problem is with the receiver.

Hoping to find a solution.
