I apologize for the inconvenience in regards with the YouTube TV playback error. Currently, we are experiencing higher volume of chats and calls about the error playback for the YouTube TV app. So with this, you are not the only one who got affected with the issue. But no worries, our engineering team is now working with this matter to get this sorted out as soon as possible.

Same issue. We have the tracker issue ID but don't know how/where to submit the information. YouTube app stopped working suddenly on one Roku tv (the other tv with Roku device is fine).  Restarted, updated app, updated tv, plugged and unplugged. Removed app and re-added (though it could not re-add at first), restarted router.  Nothing has fixed the issue with YouTube unable to open. (as of 8:40pm PT).

Oh, I was able to use the system restart again to get it running.

Not only did I follow these steps but I still cannot use any YouTube app on my TV they have all disappeared and when I look them up and hit "open app" it tried to download it. I have no option to delete and redownload.  Device ID S0JUY47LDUS4S also tracking ID 4S-044-924 

*EDIT* after posting device ID aprox one minute later I got an email stating it was fixed thank you!

Thank you it works. I did delete and reinstall just to be safe & then the app disappeared but then I reinstalled again & it finally works

Updated the YouTube Tv App and it finally works!

My issue is the youtube app not launching. All other apps will launch except YouTube. I don't have a roku TV, I use the device. I have tried everything, removed and reinstalled the app like three times, restarted the system, checked YouTube and roku for updates and everything is up to date. It won't even let me cast YouTube from my phone. It was working fine earlier this evening and then all of a sudden it just wouldn't open. I've never had any issues at all with roku, ever. Until now and it had to be the only app I really watch. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
