I have had my TCL smart TV model 55S446 for a few years, and often watch mp4 files off a USB drive. Recently, after an update, the TV started displaying closed captions on every video (including ones I have watched before and did not have closed captions). Is there any way to get rid of these?
The closed captions are turned off in the settings, and they don't show up on anything else (Youtube, TV channels, etc.) I tried a factory reset, but that didn't help. I have tried other USB drives, and the problem persists across the different drives. I have also tried unplugging the TV while it was on, and that didn't help.
The current OS is Android TV OS 11, the Kernel Version is 4.14.198+, and the build is RP1A.200622.001
