It runs the ROKU graphic start-up screen over and over, then it goes to a "reset" screen. It asks for the language choice, then the network setting, then it asks me whether I want to restart, update, or factory reset. I tried all three and it just goes back to the ROKU graphic start-up screen. Help!
Had basically the same problem with it shutting down, losing sound and resetting. Went back and forth with Roku support and finally the sent me a replacement. They sent me a 4850R and looking at the one I had it was a 4850x, I am required to send the x back. They did send a label. Hope this helps
Thank you for the reply. Went round and round with them for a few hours today. They concluded that my device was old and I had to replace it. No coupon code, no discount. Given how long we've been users and given how many players we have...it's disappointing. As the rokus fail, we'll probably migrate over to the firestick. Hope you and yours have a blessed and grace-filled Thanksgiving.
