I have 2 questions regarding the Roku Ultra LT 2021 (10th gen) p/n: 4801

1. Does it have infrared hardware?

2. If it is connected via ethernet, does the remote communicate with a router then to the Roku over ethernet or does the remote connect directly to the Roku over WIFI?

Yes, but see #2
It comes with the Voice Remote that uses Wi-Fi direct which is exactly what it sounds like. It doesn't go through your router.

It will work with other (non-TV) Roku IR remotes or most universal remotes.
