I'm in the same place with my Roku Ultra 4640X. It's stuck in a boot loop and goes to Recovery mode from time to time. Is there going to be an update coming?

I have a 4640x that also is in a boot loop and unable to recover with the software reinstall. What is the fix? It’s the software version somehow.

I was able to get mine back into Factory reset mode but still got stuck there because it forces you to get an update and the update causes the device to reboot.
Roku has been good about owning up that it is their issue and offering replacements once all the other steps have been exhausted.

Has anyone gotten the replacement process underway yet? I'm still waiting on a shipping label and instructions, and it's been three weeks.

Yes, I received a 4802 as a replacement. I didn't need to send in my 4640. Just needed to provide the serial number and some pictures of the issue. I would follow up with Roku support.

The problem with a replacement is that no Roku since 4640 has an optical surround output. My receiver is before HDMI so I need Optical.

To assist us in our investigation and expedite the resolution process, we kindly request the following details from affected users:
- Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and current software version. (this can all be found in Settings > System > About)
- Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)
Once we have this information, we can pass it along to the appropriate Roku team for further investigation.
