I got a new prompt on my screen asking me if I want to allow Roku to rearrange the app tiles on my Home Screen whenever it wants! I wonder what idiot at Roku came up with this stupid idea! This is yet another setting which I now have to go to under the Home Screen settings to disable it by putting it on Manual.
Why would anyone want Roku shuffling their app icons automatically? Roku you are becoming way too intrusive on the Home Screen and I'm getting tired of it! Just like the new Weekly Trivia category nonsense that has popped up on my Roku devices which is yet another thing I have to disable in the Home Screen settings.
Roku what is your problem? Leave our screens alone! I want a setting created to block all of this nonsense! The first thing I do when I see something added to the Home Screen is immediately go to the settings and disable it, then a few days later a new category gets added that is also enabled by default which I must disable next.
Does Roku get off on screwing with people's devices? Leave our purchased devices alone! Stop trying to undo our customizations! Once I set everything the way I want it I expect it to remain that way until I change it myself!
The people at Roku pushing this intrusion should be fired! I doubt they'd like it if someone messed with their devices without permission. So stop messing with all of mine!
Update - as soon as I took it off of auto and back to manual, it reverted to my original order. So I withdraw my fury. 🤣
I had this problem recently too. I want to know why after 3 years without issue they decide to manipulate our devices and rearange the apps. It happened 3x this month. I don't get mad easily but this really pisses me off when they waste my time.
After searching online and finding this thread then lots of digging through the TV menu I finally found the HOME SCREEN option and set it to MANUAL.
STAY OUT OF OUR TVs JERKS!!!
On a side note, while the QLED picture is great, this is the dumbest smart TV, it won't accept ANY Bluetooth Keyboards (I have a logitech) and there is no Web Browser App compatability.
Also frame smoothing leaves horrible artifacting around the edges of objects and people when they are moving and ruins the viewing experience so I have to put it on low setting or turn it off entirely.
It looks especially bad in space battle scenes, ruined "The Expanse" for me until I disabled it.
And everytime you lose power, or at random other times it reverts to Automatic. Roku you were the top streamer, apple, google, Amazon all suck compared to you, stop trying to lower yourself to their level before we leave you for greener pastures.
