Is there any difference between a 3820r stick compared to 3820r2 stick ?
thank you
Generally anything that comes after the 4 digit model number just indicates the distribution channel (retail vs. online vs Walmart, etc.). I've never seen the R2 suffix, but I'm willing to bet it's pretty much meaningless as far as any capabilities of the device.

3820R (retail) and 3820RW (retail Walmart) perhaps? The number 2 is next to W on keyboard so maybe typo?
I was wondering the same thing. Best Buy has the 3820R while the Roku store has the 3820R2. I wish Roku would be more clear on this in the item specs.
This also the same as the 3820X ?
I have both a 3820X and a 3820R2 Streaming Stick 4K.
There are differences.
On the 3820X, I see all the Menu Items (e.g. Home, Live TV, Featured Free, Sports, What to Watch, etc...) on its initial screen.
On the 3820R2, I see only a three Menu Items, namely: Home, Streaming Channels, and Settings. To get to the complete set of Menu Items, i need to first click Streaming Channels, and then press the OK button. What then show are the Menu Items that I see on the 3820X along with Genres like: Movies & TV, Kids & Family, Music & Podcasts etc...
I do not know about any possible hardware differences.
