Re: Roku Photo Stream doesn’t work

Jump to solution

I HAVE SPENT HOURS CURATING SLIDESHOWS, ONLY FOR A RANDOM SELECTION OF THEM TO EVER SHOW ON THE TV.

YOU REALIZE THAT IGNORING ALL THESE CUSTOMERS AND POSTING USELESS CANNED RESPONSES ONLY MAKES PEOPLE ANGRY? THIS WILL ONLY LEAD PEOPLE TO PURCHASE ANY OTHER PRODUCT OPTION IN THE FUTURE, IS THAT WHAT YOUR GOAL IS? WHAT IS THE REASONING BEHIND IGNORING THIS ISSUE FOR YEARS?!?!?!?!?

Next person to give the canned response needs to be fired. You can clearly track this issue back 4 straight years. Photo stream only shows 25 photos no matter now many added on.

Re: Roku Photo Stream doesn’t work

Does everyone know that the Roku photostream downloads each picture from a server every time is displayed, i.e., nothing is stored on the Roku device?  I didn't realize this until I was looking at the traffic through my router for my various devices and noticed that one of my Rokus that is rarely used was downloading over 2 GB per day.  This probably isn't an issue for most people but I thought it was worth mentioning.

On topic, the photostream works well on my 4660 (before I disabled it) but not so well on my 4802.  It takes a lot longer to start on the 4802 and I'm not sure why.  Since I have decided to disable it, it doesn't matter.
