I had to do a factory reset on my Roku HD, and out of the box there are so many **bleep** ads. Even after going through the menu options and disabling the six or so different options it still leaves a giant poster on the home screen.
I tried opening a chat with tech support, and I got confusing responses to my questions. Is Roku using AI these days? I requested a support ticket be created because there is no option to remove that last advertisement. "Emmanuel" asked me for the version number two times and if I was watching TV, then disconnected the conversation.
I have a roku because I bloody hate advertisements. At this point, I would not recommend a Roku to anyone else because it's slowly becoming more and more **bleep**ty with the ads they keep shoving in there. I don't want daily **bleep**ing trivia, I don't want your sports. I just want a solid streaming app with a remote that the wife and kids can use. I don't care if it costs a little more, stop selling my eyeballs.
