As a Roku owner and avid user of screen mirroring. This is no longer a feature and hasn’t been since nearly the beginning of the year for me. I used it daily and went out of town and returned a week later for it to stop working. Every other Roku owner I know is also experiencing the same issue.
It seems that things running on windows may be causing more problems than the Roku as I had a similar problem connecting straight to the TV. I got it to work last night be disconnecting everything, that is Roku, TV, and PC and reconnecting. Make sure the network you are connecting to is set to Private, which I think was the key my problem. I also had to turn off the Bitdefender firewall. We'll see if this still works tomorrow.
Thanks for posting to the Roku Community!

I have a 43" roku tv with the same mirroring problem. it never shows up as an option on my phone but used to. My other roku device on a diff tv works fine. Have tried all the suggested fixes.
I have a Windows 11 PC and trying to cast to Roku Ultra. I have a HP Laptop-dy1 with the latest Windows 11 updates. This has worked in the past with Windows 10. I see the Roku device in the Cast window, I select that Roku and it replies that it is connecting. I see no change on the Roku screen (on the home screen). Eventually the attempt to connect times-out.
On my Windows PC, in the list of network devices, the Roku Ultra is shown as a network device.
I have tried all the suggestions to check network, various setting on both the PC and the Roku and all is set properly. I followed the suggestions from Microsoft to do a network reset, changing projection options, disabling/re-enabling network discovery, and restarting both the Roku and my PC. I even tried restarting both in different sequence.
Microsoft punts and says that I should contact Roku Support. So here I am.
Will anyone EVER discover a solution to this problem?
I have a work-around.
On my laptop, I am using a USB Network adapter. I switched adapters, and the screen cast works just fine. Obviously this is not the preferred network adapter (or I would be using it as my default) but this other adapter does enable the Windows cast to the Roku Ultra.
I still wonder why this made a difference.
I have a android S24 plus and a roku 55" 4k tv model 55r6A5R. The roku tv has always had problems showing up on the android under the smart view. In past it would work sometimes but then I would have to restart the roku to get it to appear in the smart view screen to connect it with the android to mirror videos. Now it dosent appear at all in smart view screen . Samsung and the T-mobile tried helping me. Everything was reset, phone,tv, wifi, all reset. No change. The roku showed up one time on android as I was talking to Samsung technician and I told the technician I seen the tv appear on phone, but when I went back to hit connect the roku tv was gone and never showed up again. I did more resetting and powering phone and tv off and on but nothing. Like I said the roku has never worked well with screen mirroring since I bought it. The phone and tv have up to date software also. I see many people hate the roku. Screen mirroring is only reason I bought a smart TV. What is wrong with this tv?
