Shrinking it doesn't really solve the problem. The channel guide button is the most important part of any remote and it should actually take us to the channel guide, not some banner ad. I don't care about the banner on top, but I don't want the extra step of having to click DOWN from that every time just to get the the guide.

Do you guys at Roku even watch TV with Live TV? This feature does the opposite of enhance my streaming experience. If you think Live TV is just for streaming, maybe you should separate the streaming App from the actual live TV.

I want a way to disable this unwanted "feature."  It's incredibly annoying to be forced to go through additional steps just to scroll through the guide.  There should be a way to let the user choose whether or not they want this.

I hate this new live TV upper channel guide.  It add extra work to get to my channel scrolling.  It's bad enough that I can't just enter the channel numbers because the remote has no number pad.  Now I have to click down one just to get to scrolling the guide.

How can I turn this off?  I've searched all my Roku menu's and there's no option to disable it.

That renders the favorites moot. 

Favorites should be boosted back to the top of the list OR let us control the order.
I have no interest in "Add-ons".  Don't make me scroll thru it to try to get me to buy more.

How do you turn this off? It's annoying and means I now have to do *even more* navigation to get to my favourite channels:

1. Down to get off the irrelevant 'On Now' list which I 100% do not care about.

2. Left to get to the Categories and get off 'All Channels', which I also don't care about

3. Down again twice to get past 'Recommended Channels', which I also don't care about, to my Favourites list, which amazingly enough I actually do care about, because IT'S MY FAVOURITES LIST.

Every time you guys do an update you make things worse. If you're going to add new features to the guide, add an option to turn them off - it's basic UX design. Really guys this is junior level 101 software design principles.

You should also provide options to set Favourite Channels as the default top entry in the categories. The whole point of a Favourites list is it's a shortcut. You shouldn't make people navigate through a menu system to get there - it should be front & centre when you open the guide.

I don't want all this **bleep** that you *think* I want to look at. You've designed an extremely annoying UI. Get it together.

More clicks is not an improvement. Just stop making the UI more irritating and shoving crud nobody asked for. We are not idiots. We can favorite things ourselves. I will be watching your competition more and your live channels less. Please listen to your users and stop insulting us with "problem solved" replies. Fix it, remove it, or offer ways to opt out of your "improvements".

Please rollback or allow the newly updated Channel Guide Recommendations to be disabled.

A couple days ago the Live TV - Channel Guide changed.  Whenever you open the guide, above the guide, it now shows a row of recommended show or channels.

This is not a welcomed change for me and my family.  The guide should always open with the cursor on the current channel. Every guide on just about every device I've owned work this way.

Now you have to press the left arrow to open the guide and then press down to get to the guide.  This small inconvenience makes the guide different from other guides.  It confused my aging parents until I repeatedly showed them that you have to now press down to go to the guide.

We also use our Rokus with an over-the-air antenna.  We don't need or want suggestions from the Roku Live TV channels.
