I want to be able to clear "Recommended for you" and "Because you watched"?
Hi @Anonymous,
Greetings from the Roku Community!
We have good news for you. Please be advised that you can now customize your features by navigating to Settings > Home Screen > Recommendation Rows. You should see an option to show or hide it. After doing so, you can try to restart your Roku device by going to Settings > System > Power > System restart (if you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step).
Happy streaming!
Kind regards,
Eunice
Hi @Kjr17270,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
We understand that you want to hide the inappropriate movies on your Roku. We would be more than happy to assist you with this.
To look closely into the issue, we would like to know where you are seeing these "Recommended for you" and "Because you watched" categories. When you hide the Recommendation Rows, it will only hide the recommended content that pops up on your Roku Home screen at the top of the channels option.
In the meantime, we highly suggest you try the following:
= Content with this rating on The Roku Channel can be watched without a PIN
= A PIN is required to watch content with this rating on The Roku Channel
Checking a sensitive ad category means you are restricting the types of ads Roku will be able to show on your Home Screen and screensaver. Your ad preferences are immediately saved and will be applied to all streaming devices connected to your Roku account.
We hope you find this information helpful. Please let us know if there's anything else you would like to address.
Regards,
Riamie

no, that didn't work
I want to be able to clear "Recommended for you" and "Because you watched"?
This did not work. Despite changing that setting to "hide" and performing a system restart, it is still showing the "Recommended For You" strip.
Also, we don't necessarily want to remove the "Recommended For You" section, we just want to clear it so it starts over with making new recommendations from scratch.
How can that be achieved?
I tried the recommended steps of "hide" and "restart" and the inappropriate movies still show that a guest watched while staying at my house. Please help me clear the history. Thank you.

This problem is not on the home page. It is on the "The Roku Channel" page. You need to fix this since forever. We are all unhappy with Roku about this problem. Doing the "hide" routine does not fix the "Because you watched" list on The Roku Channel. Don't isn't anyone at Roku smart enuf to figure out what in the heck we are talking about? Common man!
This problem has nothing to do with the Home screen Roku!
It exist on "The Roku Channel". Do you guys ever use you own product. You need to fix this. Complaints existing for over a year now. Come on man!
This does not work. Please address this now.
