I am having the exact same issue

I loaded from my iPhone photos using the QR code. The app took my photos and appears to have uploaded them to the Backdrops app, but they do not show up in the app. So I then uploaded photos using Google photos. It also allowed the upload to the Backdrops app. Same result. There is no My Photos file or icon in Backdrops app. Help!

Re: I am having the exact same issue

Just went back into Google photos and redid the upload. Went to the Backdrop app again. I notices that is says "MY FAVORITES. 0 IMAGES - CREATED BY (AND MY NAME)". It show this after uploading form Google and from my iPhone. The MY FAVORITES is located at the very top of the app window in the upper right corner.

Re: I am having the exact same issue

Went back into the QR code link and adjusted security settings. Went back to Backdrops app and it still does not show my photos. It's like the link between Backdrops app and Google and uploaded photos from iPhone does not connect.

Re: Backdrops not showing linked Google Photo Album

Update:  This worked for just under a week.  I've resorted to streaming the photos directly from my phone for the time being.

(originally) I figured this out, this morning, at least for me.  I'll post here in case it helps anyone else.

Mine worked fine until about the first or second week in November.

The Google Photo Album must have 'Link Sharing' turned on.  I'm not sure what changed from the time that I set this up to when it failed, but I turned on the 'Link Sharing' feature on one album, and suddenly they all populated again in the Roku Backdrops site.

To be more specific, I went into the Google Photos Album online at the Google Photos site.  I clicked in the top right corner of the album and selected 'options'.  I turned on link sharing, but unchecked a couple of boxes about other people adding photos and whatnot.  I did NOT need to share the link with anyone for this to work.

On the Roku webpage (where the Backdrops QR code takes you) the images were suddenly visible again.

On the Roku TV, I had to go in and out of Backdrops once for it to repopulate with the albums.  I had unlinked them previously as I was troubleshooting.

Re: Backdrops not showing linked Google Photo Album

I'm having this same issue. I have two different Roku devices and it's the same for both (no pictures showing up). When I go to https://backdrops.roku.com/streams the albums are available to select but the pictures don't show up at all. It's like the link between Roku and Google is not valid and Google is rejecting it.

Re: Backdrops not showing linked Google Photo Album

Tried the fix suggested but didn't work for me either. Nothing shows of any of my uploads.
