For the past month or so, when I go to hook a phone up to Roku tv, it shows the Airplay symbol on the screen, and then Roku goes back to its Home Screen. On the phone, it says it’s connected to the TV.
I’ll disconnect and keep trying to do it and it finally ends up working. Not doing anything specific to get it to work, but it just finally decides to work after a few attempts. Is this happening to anyone else? What should I do?

i have this same problem. I have done everything they said to do (update/restart/etc). My phone is up to date. Have also checked screen mirroring settings and made sure i am allowing devices. connect my phone and the airplay icon comes up, but immediately cuts off back to the roku homescreen, and my phone still says it is connected to the tv. Also i know it is not a network disruption as i can stream from youtube to the roku and change/pause videos with ease, only when trying to screen mirror and/or airplay does this happen. Started a few months ago and only happens with my phone. Not a problem with other peoples phones- but have seen other people report this online. Hoping it can be fixed somehow 🙏
