AirPlay Limiting to Certain Users

Jump to solution

Hey all.

We have decided to utilize Roku devices in our classrooms and meeting spaces. The technology has been amazing so far and truly helped our teachers and staff utilize things to the fullest. We did have an interesting situation though where we found that students could airplay/screenmirror to the devices as well. We were wondering if there is a way to lock these devices down where screenmirror/airplay could only be used by certain people with access or a code specifically to allow it.

If anyone has some ideas or suggestions we would greatly appreciate it.

@CapitalIT

Thanks for the inquiry.

Have you tried changing the options in Apple AirPlay and HomeKit within Settings? We would recommend the following:

Require Code > Use Password Instead > Enter Password

Please keep us posted what you find out.

Thanks,
Danny
