Using Roku Soundbar as Bluetooth speaker for Amazon Echo Dot

I attempted to pair my Echo Dot and Roku soundbar via Bluetooth for playback of Amazon music, but neither the Roku or Echo Dot find each other when scanning for available devices.  I have the soundbar linked to the Echo for voice activated commands with the TV on, but I'm looking to use it as a simple Bluetooth speaker for music when the TV is off.  Currently I play music from the Echo through a small Sony portable Bluetooth speaker.  I want the soundbar to replace the Sony for more room filling sound.  Does the soundbar not support basic Bluetooth connection with the Echo?

@jedward78

Thanks for the inquiry.

For troubleshooting steps with your Roku Smart Soundbar, visit our Support page here: How do I connect a Bluetooth® device to my Roku® audio device?

If you are still having issues with your Roku Smart Soundbar, please send me a PM with your Roku account email address, and include the serial number of the Roku device from Settings>System>About. I'll be able to assist you further from there.

Thanks,
Danny

Re: Using Roku Soundbar as Bluetooth speaker for Amazon Echo Dot

Hi,

This is what I did.

1.  Open Alexa app on phone

2.  select device settings

3.  select echo dot

4.  select Bluetooth devices

5.  select pair new device

6.  select Roku Smart Soundbar

On the Roku side:

1.  Goto settings, Remote & devices

2.  select bluetooth devices

3.  select pair new device
