Originally I had no issue using smart view from my Samsung S20 FE android phone to my Hisense Roku TV. Then it stopped working and my TV doesnt even show up as an option when I go into Smart View.
I went through the basic troubleshooting I found here and elsewhere to no avail. My phone and TV are connected to the same wifi, both have the latest updates.
Through trial and error I found tthat if I reset the network connection on the TV it will magically appear in Smart View and I can then connect to it prior to reconnecting the TV to the wifi. I can then cast to the TV without issue until I reconnect to the wifi, once I reconnect the TV no longer shows up on Smart View until I reset the network connection again.
This is a work around but it's kind of painful as each time I use Smart Cast I must reconnect to the wifi and input my wifi password to go back to watching the TV.
It appears to me that there's an issue with the wifi connection to this TV, however this isn't an issue with my 2 other TV's which use a roku stick and a roku ultra rather than being roku TV's.
Any insight to help solve this annoying issue would be greatly appreciated.
