Why, all of a sudden, won't The Roku Channel work on my 8 year old Samsung TV?

I have the same problem. I could watch the roku channel on my Samsung tv and now I can't. I called Samsung and asked them why I keep getting " The roku Channel is temporarily unavailable. Please try again in a few min."
I have been trying for months. I told Samsung representative that if I can't get roku thru them why do they have the app. The representative told me to contact roku. She said nothing on their end said they had an issue, but of course you can't contact roku.
Why all of a sudden can't I watch I watch roku. If it won't play on my Samsung tv. Roku should remove the app. This is so frustrating! Or tell Samsung to remove the app.
First, I called Roku. They suggested a couple different solutions which I tried without success.
After that, I called Samsung. My TV model number is UN60KU6300 and I do not have a Roku box attached to it. When I gave the Samsung agent my TV model number, he told me my TV was a 2016 model. He explained that effective 1/1/2024, Samsung no longer supported The Roku Channel app on TVs that were manufactured in 2016. IOW, my TV was too old for me to stream The Roku Channel. This made sense to me because the same thing happened to another app I was using a couple years ago.
The Samsung agent also told me if I bought a Roku box and attached it to my TV, I would then be able to stream The Roku Channel to my current TV. So, eventually, I'll be buying a Roku box.
