Streambar does not list wireless speakers as a pairing option

Jump to solution

I have my Roku streambar hooked up and working. I plugged in Roku wireless speakers. Held down home button and the only devices available to set up are: Remote, smartphone or tablet, subwoofer, and wireless headphones. No wireless speaker option is listed. Please note:

-Software is up to date

-Everything is plugged in

-I have done factory rest on streambar and speakers

-I am located in the USA

-Streambar is connected to a projector. No TV is involved.

-The speakers were set up within a distance less than 5-feet from the streambar

Lastly, and pay CLOSE ATTENTION, the problem is not that the speakers won’t pair, the problem is that “wireless speakers” don’t even show up as a device pairing option.

Please help

@luke425,

Thank you for posting in the Roku Community!

We appreciate you contacting us about setting up your Roku Streambar SE. We are happy to assist you.

Your Roku Streambar SE will work with any television that has an available HDMI® port. However, to simplify connections, we recommend using a special type of HDMI port called an ARC (Audio Return Channel) port.

Smart TVs manufactured in 2009 and later typically have one ARC port labeled HDMI-ARC or ARC (among the other HDMI ports). If another device is already using the ARC port, consider moving that device to a different HDMI port – only one device can be connected to the ARC port.

If your TV does not have an ARC port, you will need to connect both the included HDMI cable and optical cable to your TV.

How to connect your Streambar to power

Use the included power adaptor to connect your Streambar to a wall outlet.

How to connect your Streambar to the ARC port

Use the included Premium High Speed HDMI Cable to connect your Streambar to the ARC port on your TV and then follow the steps in the next section to check the settings on your TV.

  • Note: You do not need to connect an optical cable when using the ARC port. If you use both, the sound may be out of sync.

For more detailed information, please check it out here: How to set up your Roku Streambar SE.

Let us know if you have any other questions. We're always happy to help.

Thanks,
Arjiemar

Hi @luke425

We recognize that you are experiencing difficulties in connecting your wireless speaker to your Roku Streambar. Please be informed that the specific model of your Roku Streambar SE (9104x) does not have the capability to be paired with a Roku wireless speaker. This lack of compatibility means that features designed for wireless speaker integration will not function, and we recommend exploring alternative audio connection options for your Roku device.

Same issue for me. Stream bar is connected to TV and is updated. Device list shows: Remote, Smartphone or tablet, Subwoofer, Wireless headphones

No speaker option even though they are right next to the TV and in Pair mode.

Please help.
