Roku TV stuck on Prime Video app and won't respond

The Prime Video Channel appears to have corrupted my Roku TV - the channel opens while viewing on any other channel and then does not allow me to choose another channel. I've done complete system restarts, resets, powered off, changed remote batteries, and removed the Prime Video channel. Even after removing the channel, a screen appears asking to "add channel." To make matters worse, even after powering off the TV, it turned itself on landing on the "add prime video channel" screen.

It's very odd - I'm beginning to think it's a ghost messing with me 🙂

@NellieD, do you have a Prime button on your remote?  I suspect a malfunctioning remote or interference from another remote with a stuck button.  You can try taking the batteries out of the remote and using the app on your phone/tablet as a remote to see if the remote is the issue.
